About

Beginning May 17, Indiana University President Michael A. McRobbie will lead a university delegation on a two-week trip to China, Japan, Singapore, Vietnam and Hong Kong. The trip will further IU’s strategic focus on key international locations that are important to the university’s long-term mission of global engagement that generates increased academic and research opportunities for IU students and faculty.

Central to the trip will be the opening on May 23 of IU’s new China gateway office in Beijing, the university’s second overseas gateway facility. Managed by the Office of the Vice President for International Affairs, this new office will accelerate academic activities and partnerships throughout China and support a wide variety of activities, including faculty and student research, conferences and workshops, study abroad programs, distance learning initiatives and alumni engagement efforts.
